How to paint with acrylics and make them look like oils!
This workshop is all about how to use acrylics in such a way that they look more like oil paintings than the usual acrylic paintings – eliminating the flatness and enriching the colors. It’s about applying colors that make the paints look vibrant and alive using those colors for mixtures to create more harmony and depth – by layering them. Finding the right surfaces to work on – different kinds of brushes and knives and expanding the color palette you may be working with already. |

This workshop is for all levels - beginner to experienced painters. We will explore the medium of oil paint mixed with cold wax medium. We will also experiment with different tools to create beautiful textures and designs. Just about anything can be used as a tool, such as brayers, scrapers, palette knives... the possibilities are endless. This workshop is limited to 15 people. CAL members - $45.00 non-members - $55.00 Lunch will be provided. A supply list will be sent prior to the date. |
