How to paint with acrylics and make them look like oils!

This workshop is all about how to use acrylics in such a way that they look more like oil paintings than the usual acrylic paintings – eliminating the flatness and enriching the colors.  It’s about applying colors that make the paints look vibrant and alive using those colors for mixtures to create more harmony and depth – by layering them.  Finding the right surfaces to work on – different kinds of brushes and knives and expanding the color palette you may be working with already.

About Anda Styler –
“My goal has always been to help every individual who comes to my class to uncover their own creative process and discover the true artist within themselves. I Work to inspire by way of painting demonstrations and hands on suggestions by using clear acetate overlays to suggest corrections to reach a creative solution. The method of using clear acetate overlays is a way of teaching the student to see a composition /color/light and solution.  This method does not interfere with their painting but instead points the way to a creative solution. I teach to focus first on composition, then value study and then light.”
